MEDICAL QIGONG
MEDICAL QIGONG TREATMENTS
Medical Qigong is the energy healing modality of Chinese Medicine. It involves the practitioner assessing the patient's condition using Chinese Medicine principles and applying various techniques: hands on treatment, hands off treatment, distance treatment, sound therapy, visualizations, etc. in order to purge, regulate, and build the patient's energy field.
When the energy field is balanced, physical and psycho-emotional imbalances are more readily transformed into a state of radiant health. This intensely effective therapy was used in pre-communist China for thousands of years to heal a wide array of diseases.
If you are interested in transformational energy work, a Medical Qigong treatment is for you! Distance treatments are currently available and are highly effective.

WHAT IS MEDICAL QIGONG?
"Qigong" means “energy skill”. There are many types of Qigong that originated in China several thousand years ago and are practiced all around the world. Each type of Qigong comes from a different origin, or lineage, and has a specific character and purpose. Medical Qigong combines movements, breathing, and meditative practices of both Daoist/Taoist and Buddhist origin. Medical Qigong may be used for personal growth and development, to treat diseases, to attain optimal health, as well as applied as a modality of treatment on others.
MY PATH IN DAOISM, BUDDHISM, AND MEDICAL QIGONG
I have been practicing Medical Qigong for over 15 years, and am an official disciple of Zheng Yi Daoism (Long Hu Shan Monastery, China). I am blessed to have had great and influential teachers along the path.
I obtained my Masters Certificate in Medical Qigong Therapy from the International Institute of Medical Qigong, founded and taught by world-renowned Professor of Medical Qigong, and Martial Arts Grand Master, Professor Jerry Alan Johnson [more on Jerry Alan Johnson]. I also studied Daoist mystical practices for several years with Professor Johnson, who has been a transformative and supportive influence in my life.
In gratitude, I thank my other Daoist teachers Laura Johnson-McCreary, Daoist Abbot [more on Laura Johnson-McCreary] and Diego Sanmiquel, Daoist Priest [more on Diego Sanmiquel].
I am very blessed to study Buddhism and other ancient spiritual traditions with Lama Lar Short of Northern New Mexico [more on Lar Short] and Lama Ellen Galford of Northern California [more on Ellen Galford].
The study of Daoism and Buddhism has deepened my Medical Qigong knowledge and practice, as they come from the same ancient root principles. I am able to pass on to my students this deeper embodiment of these ancient practices, which benefits them, and those that they influence.
MY PATH AS A TEACHER OF MEDICAL QIGONG
I taught the Medical Qigong Practitioner program at the esteemed Five Branches University of Chinese Medicine in Santa Cruz, California to students of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine. I have also taught Medical Qigong at Southwest Acupuncture College in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
I currently offer online Medical Qigong classes at different levels of training for students of Chinese Medicine, Practitioners of Chinese Medicine, and the interested public.
When you begin with me, we set a foundation of training in Way of Being. This is essential to use the Work of Qigong in the most beneficial way and fits the ethic that I value. You may find many teachers of Qigong around the world. Like in many professions and disciplines, different individuals come from and with different values and intentions. It is my intention to guide the student into a practice that firstly benefits them, with a strong foundation in their own values, and then may blossom to benefit others.
It is a great honor to be able to witness the opening of student's hearts and minds in the process of learning and embodying Medical Qigong.
The first classes are designed to reconnect the student with their true selves, and to begin to understand how to process their past with a firm rooting in the Divine inside and outside, and the present moment. Using mindfulness in the day-to-day and beginning to gather more energy for vitality, the student feels a stronger connection to Nature, to the Divine presence, and to their fellow human beings. Learning how to surrender the accumulation of past hurts and wounds that are holding them back, the student learns to embrace change, and to move forward in this very life with grace and ease.
If a student chooses to, they can then focus on treating others with Medical Qigong Therapy. Once the student has learned how to regulate their own energy, they can go on to learn how to help others. A Medical Qigong treatment is an energy healing method where the practitioner moves the hands over the patient's body and/or uses their mind’s intention to guide the energy in order to regulate, purge, or tonify a patient's energy field. This in turn helps the patient begin to resolve physical, emotional, and mental holding patterns which are preventing healing.
I'm open to your questions and inquiries regarding Qigong.
